Cold Weather Starting Issue

On my 07 Yukon Denali, lately when I've gone to start it in the morning and after work, it sounds like the starter grinds right as it starts. This happens both when using the remote start and the normal, key-in-hole, method. Additionally, it seems to only happen when the temperature outside is in single digits or less and the truck is cold (sitting for an extended period of time). And since the truck pretty much starts itself (i.e. I don't have to hold the key in the start position of the ignition) there is nothing I can do to prevent this.

 

Anyone else experiencing this?

It sounds like you may have a starter bendex problem.

Mine does the same thing. Going to take it in one of these days to have it looked at as well as my gas gauge sticking.
