I need some taller shackels for the back of a 99' Suburban? I want to lift the back end up about 1-2 inches.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, thats not a bad price. What did that do to your ride quality when you added the leaf?

We cranked down the T-bars to lift the front about an inch, to add some clearance for some larger tires. The back seems to set about an inch lower than the front now. Its not bad. The tires are D rated LTs and the ride suffered some already, I was kind of hoping to find a taller shackle. It seemed like with the trucks from back in the 80s you could get the shackels off like a 3500 4x4 and gain that inch to inch and a half withought a spring change. Anyone familar with shackel lengths from other 90 models?

I havn't isntalled it yet seeing as It's cold and I'm lazy, but I've heard that it makes the ride a little stiffer, I have no clue about the shackles, but if you ahve an offroad shop in your area they would most probably be able to rig up a custom shackle if nothing else is available.

I wish there were some sort of parts matrix that showed the rear shackels over several models and years, including there lengths. I know shackels as far as fitment were pretty much the same from 1973-2007 gmt 800s, the reason I know that is when they were still making these shackels called velvet rides. They use the same part number on the ones I bought back in the 80s for 2wds as the set that I bought for my 2002 4x4 D-max crew cab diesel. I was shocked how they had not changed in over 30 years. I am going to dig around in my shop to see if I still have the old OEM shackels off that 4x4 D-max still laying around. I might get lucky and they are an inch or so longer than the OEMs on the 99 suburban. I remember the velvet rides dropped the back of that 4x4 D-max about an inch, which was ok since the nose slanted down about 2 inchs, and after cranking the bars up an inch it set pretty level when I was fished.
