Gm Sunroof Deflector On Nbs

Has anybody done the installation of the GM Sunroof Deflector on their NBS Silverado? Does it clip on, screw on, etc? What are the benefits?

Mine was installed by the dealer, just because they threw in the installation when I bought the truck. There are 2 screws going through the top

 

Having had sunroofs before, I wouldnt be without a deflector. The wind doesnt blast directly in on the people in the back seat with the deflector installed. Bugs, etc.

I installed my GM Sunroof Deflector myself. My truck looks just like Alaska511. There are two rubber/vinyl coated metal hooks that catch on the inside lip of the sunroof. They are attached to the sunroof with the two screws mentioned by Alaska511. You just position the sunroof where you want it and start tightening the screws until the deflector is cinched tight. You will see the deflector start to deform when you overtighten the screws.

I take it that it works better than the metal deflector that automatically pops up when you slide the sunroof open?
