Its old, rusty, but runs good. 46718 orig miles. needs fluids changed, but can i get rid of smog, better intake, the usual. To help it out?

Thats an awesomebeast man, I love those old square bodies.

 

Look at getting an Edelbrock Torker II package for it.

 

You'll want to freshen up the motor with new seals and gaskets, the stockers are probably pretty dry and weak with that little use over the years.

 

I would replace any seal I could find with a new one all over the truck... Don't forget to replace the cabin air filter, you'll be getting an awful smell of rotting stuff in the cab....wondering where its commin from. Its generally that, or dead something in the vents and "HVAC" system.
