Anyone Done This To Their Nnbs?

I came across this on cardomain and really like the headlights and bed cover. It is a JW Motorsports truck and they claim to have custom LED's in the Headlights. Has anyone painted their headlights and added LED's like these guys? I know the bed cover is custom, but anyone seen anything close to this? What do you guys think?

That just seems kind of weird. The reflectors really look odd against a dark background. Also, where are the LED's?

Not sure where the LED's are. "They say it has 8000k HID's with custom blue LED's"

There is probably only one LED in there and it is set to flash. I have seen a lot of show vehicles that have flashing lights and im sure this is now differnt. Not sure though, could be wrong. But your right i don't see them either but im sure there on the right side of the headlamp.

There is a post on here where a guy took the orange side reflectors out of his headlights. Also put in other lights for the turn signals (not sure what kind of light). He had to cut the light apart, remove the orange and install the new lights. Then silicone up the light to reseal it. I was looking to do this but would by or find housings first, so if I screw up, no harm.

What do I think?

Why paint the headlights? Why put LED's in there? I truly don't understand.

Also, in that last pic, the truck's got huge rims and low profile tires? What's the point? You take away the entire purpose of the truck. To haul. You end up with a much harsher ride, lowered payload capacity, and tires that wear out twice as fast. Not to mention, in my opinion, it looks ridiculous. Why does someone get a half ton pickup and do these things?

I'm not bashing, I'm truly baffled. What's the point of blacking out a headlight? The reflector serves a vital purpose.

LED's? I'm not getting it. To look cool?

Sorry, I don't get it.

I didn't paint the inside but have been very tempted to lately.

Do it man..those headlights look like a large piece of chrome on either side of your truck, defeats the purpose of blacking it all out.

I think those headlights on the car domain truck look prety cool actually. I have been toying with the idea of painting the bezel on mine too..but tinting the reflectors red like in my sig. Think the cops will harrass me?

I didnt quite drop it like this, but these trucks are not designed to be trucks anymore, they are designed to be cruisers, collectibles, and expressions of the owner. most guys would tend to agree that anything dropped that low will result in issues arising, and reduced 'truck' capacities....I also threw on LEDs around the back end of my truck, and I did this for better visibility and looks.....and to me it looks better

You've obviously never been to Miami... This place is crawling with lowered Hummers with 26's, and then they put on the brush guards, tail light guards, and off-road lights everywhere. One guy has eight lights on a chromed Gobi rack on his lowered/26" H2 and the lights aren't even wired!! Kind of like a rolling oxymoron. But I guess to each his own...

...or anywhere else for that matter! You are correct, the truck has become a form of expression for many, and everywhere I travel to you see the types you mentioned on up to equally "useless" as some say, jacked up trucks that you need a step ladder to get into, and these 2 types of trucks all have this type of lighting. Exactly, to each his own.

I don't want to elaborate on my $.2 cause it would take all day to finish my rant. BUT, i was born a country boy and i'll ALWAYS be one. If i have a 4x4 I'm gonna USE IT. Today's "street scene" is mainly influenced by crack sellin' rappers who make millions making nasty rap and sellin drugs and turn around and demolish trucks and suv's by lowering them and adding all their goofy s**t in an effort to make them look cool. Its all about looks these days. People aren't worried about functionality because most of these mall crawlers will ever go over a curb, not to mention a mudhole or even a gravel road.

I have buddies with lowered trucks, but at least they choose 2wd and not 4x4 hummers n s**t. And these trucks look good because thats what they're made for...the street. They're not big 4x4 pavement pounders. They are hot-rodded up like I believe the 2wd trucks are meant for.

But i'm done for this one. Long live the HARDWORKING 4x4 of the Good 'Ol Days!!!
