Front End Roar

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have an '03 K1500 Silverado with 97,000 miles. When I am driving down the road, the front end makes a roaring noise. It almost sounds like a scrubbing noise. Like maybe it's my brake rotors or something. I just had my hub assembly on the driver's side changed around Christmas and it's not making the same noise. Are my rotors out of whack? Or could it be something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Change the Pass side hub bearing. it will need it soon. Also check to see if your Pass side front axle seal is leaking. and change that. It will need both, sooner than later.

It is easy to do if you have a 36 mm socket to remove the half shaft nut.
