Removing Tailgate Handle?

I want to put a camera in the same way as Lincoln's did in this link.

It's an '07 nbs with a locking latch.

 

Is it as simple as taking the three bolts off on the inside and then just prying the cover off around the latch?

I changed out my non locking latch for the GM locking latch. No instructions, but just take off the bolts from the inside, and the plastic cover is held in with clips. Use your fingers to pop it out.
