Rear Cupholders

I have an 03 Sierra Ext Cab. On the extra cab doors there is a cupholder. Does anyone know if there are rubber inserts made for these to keep the cups in them? 3 times now ive friends close those doors with drinks in them and the drink goes flying! Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Except, "Well then just dont use the cupholders"

Thanks!!

Those door cupholders are useless, they are not deep enough. I'm guessing you don't have a center console since this would have two more cupholders that are more usefull on the back of it???

If you're talking about the floor-level fold-down cup holders, only slightly more useful.

The ones in the door are horrible. a week after I got myk truck, my little sister spilled something all over the door, man was that fun to clean up.

As far as these guys go, they usually hold my empty Mt. Dew Bottles until i have no more available cup holders!

Ok I know everyone has seen the Cadillac commercial with the hot latin woman talking about how focus groups say the #1 thing influencing womens vehicle purchace is cupholders...cupholders maybe they should ask a different kind of woman. Sorry I have nothing intelligent to add I was reading this and that commercial came on and I felt a little ironic tickle.

My truck has 9 damn cup holders! 2 in front doors, 3 in center consol, 2 on floor in rear, 2 more in flip down consol in rear seat! Thats 9! That is so extreme, considering i can comfortable carry 5 people. Jesus H

Sounds like your one cupholder short for 5 people. You need 10 so each person can have a cupholder for their drink and their spit cup

You could go to a dealer, pretend you're interested in a used Silverado/Sierra, and then just slip two cup holder inserts in your pocket. You could also try Ebay.

If you do get the cupholder inserts, you should use some crazy glue to attatch them to the cupholder and keep them from moving.

Actually 9 is the correct number.

4 people times two hands = 8 cups, plus only one for the driver - he has to keep at least one hand on the wheel!

There is actually a TSB (07-08-49-002) for the 2007 NBS 2500HD Extended Cab (and maybe other vehicles, don't know) for the rear seat, center console, floor level cup holders. It provides a four tab rubber insert for each cup holder, much like the front console positions. My truck came without any insert in there which made them useless. I only just found out about tihs one, so will talk with the dealer on Monday.

Why even allow people in a truck with drinks?

So the driver can say to his buddies "Y'all hold on to my beer and watch this!"

Maybe the people getting into the back of the truck should climb in while holding their drinks, shut the door THEN put the drink in the cupholder.....
