Classic Hard Covers On Nbs?

Anyone ever try fitting a hard cover (the type that lifts up, like ARE or whatever) from a 99-06 truck to a 07-08 NBS? I know a guy who has a brand new one for 200 bucks (he says he paid 1200 new) but it was off his 06 2500hd so just wanting to know if it would "fit" on my bed...I know the bed length's about the same, but I've heard it's the rails that are a bit different?

I've havnt heard of anyone trying this, but I highly doubt that it would work very well.

I could try, the guy is willing to let me test fit it, but I may not bother since I got a few other things I'm looking to spend some cash on, right now I'm deciding on a Z71 cluster, trading my jet ski in for the new model that just came out, or buying a Yamaha 125cc dirt bike (I rode a 250 once for about 10 seconds which ended up with me landing straight on my ass)...

Well, he test fitted it on his NBS and it won't fit, so that's out....I did refer him to some guys at a supply house while I was making a material run and they'll probably buy it.
