What's the part # you got for the filter? I checked K&N's site but it looks to be different for 5.3s and 6.0s but the air intake kits are the same? I have the high-capacity filter option so that may be a factor.

the top of the filter is 9 3/4 by 12 1/2. Think it s the same box, Gm has had the same box for years. If you are interested I can look on the K N to see if there are any numbers but I don t have the original reciept. I bought a Varam intake so it had a filter.

GM might've had the same intake style but the filters are different sizes...I may just drop in a K&N intake myself as I'm wanting that nice high RPM sound back like it was on my 2500hd 6.0.

 

If you can find a part # on it, let me know, might buy it anyways as it is cheaper than buying a 300 dollar intake haha

Another member checked the # s on his 07/ 5.3 and it appears the 6.0 and 5.3 have the same ECM/TCM s. Can anyone confirm? This will open it up for more buyers . Still for sale. Thank You.

you are correct the ECM/TCM are the same for both engine 5.3 and the 6.0...
