Stabilitrak On 09

Hi. I'm new to this forum and I have a quick question about the StabiliTrack available in the '09. I was wondering if anyone knew if this is something that can be upgraded through software at a later point or if it is totally unneeded on a 3/4 ton? I am torn between ordering an '09 or buying an '08 that I have found. I really like this feature and would like to have it but am unsure of its importance. Thanks.

Be careful in checking the actual 2009 truck ordering code, do not presume Stabilitrak

is offered for both two wheel and four wheel drive models until you can verify the truck

model ordering codes.

Good question, but no it cannot be added later via software. There are different inputs/sensors that are used on stabilitrak trucks that are not present on non-stabilitrak trucks.
