Wanna Go Higher

Alright, well i dont want to go very high... since i want to keep the 265 tire size...... maybe 275 when i change tires in like 3 years. lol. I was thinking Add-A-Leafs, then not only will it get me a couple of inches but i can haul more as well. Since ive bought a 4 wheeler trailer and the fact i can actually haul something with my new truck .

but the big question is what to do with the front? Right now it sits 3/4" lower than the back.... Should i just get new keys? or what do you guys think?

BTW im having trouble finded add-a-leafs that only raise about 1"-1.5"

Im looking for about 1-2" at most, since i am still going to go for fuel mileage but sitting a little higher would be very very nice.

well if it doesnt sacrifice fuel economy very much or at all then i would have no problem doing it ..... i just never want to get 7 mpg again like my old truck...

i might just get 1" blocks, crank t-bars a little bit more....

then when i have the back jacked up i can change diff oil and get the cover sandblasted and re-painted

Just don't crank the t-bars more than 1.5", or you'll wear out balljoints, tie rods, and pitman/idler arms quickly. It will also ride like a tank (or like your old truck). AAL's will also make it ride like crap when it's unloaded.

You could also go with a 2" body lift. It'll ride exactly the same, just 2" higher.

i really dont want to go with a body lift.... since if i get into a accident, the truck is way less safe...... and i might be putting a goose hitch in to pull a 25' Aluminum goose neck....... when my dad buys one.

And the Add-A-Leafs / Blocks would be use full since it will bring the back up a little bit and i could haul more with the leafs, but the blocks would be just for looks.

and the front do you thinki could get about 1.5"? without causing too much wear?

I'd definitely not go any higher than 1.5". It's not really enough outside of the stock range to cause a lot of wear, but try to crank as little as possible. The ride will get progressively stiffer if you go much over an inch.

If I'm not mistaken, your truck comes stock with a 2" block, no? If so, and if you do decide to go the block route, don't stack the 1" block on top of the 2" (talk about unsafe...), just get a 3" block and take out the 2".

make sure after you crank the t-bars to get an alignment (you probly already know that, but just in case). set the t-bars up 1.25" and they will settle down at 1"

i have a 2005 gmc and i just got a readylift leveling kit. it gave me about 2" in the front and i didn't have to crank the torsion bars at all and it was super easy to put on. you won't have to get an alignment right away but i would reccommend getting one soon after. it leveled my truck out perfect. as for the back, just get a 1" or 2" block. that should take car of everything without sacrificing any ride quality.

i have a 2005 gmc and i just got a readylift leveling kit. it gave me about 2" in the front and i didn't have to crank the torsion bars at all and it was super easy to put on. you won't have to get an alignment right away but i would reccommend getting one soon after. it leveled my truck out perfect. as for the back, just get a 1" or 2" block. that should take car of everything without sacrificing any ride quality.

You do know that the "leveling kit" you have is just re-indexed torsion keys, right? (that means you cranked the torsion bars 2 inches).
