8.1l Airbox Mod

What is the airbox mod and do you have any pics?

 

Also whats the best way to clean the MAF with out hurting it? Is it closer to the airbox or the throttle body, new to this truck so sorry for the lame questions. Thanks

The MAF on the 8.1L is closer to the airbox. CRC (and others) makes a MAF cleaner, just spray it on, it will clean off any dirt, grease, oil , grime, etc... and leave no residue. Don't touch any of the sensitive parts with your hands. Most auto parts stores carry them.

I don't know if you figured out the airbox mod but here is a good example from John Kennedy.

 

EDIT: I was just wondering if you take that aluminum plate off of the fender if you can grab some cooler air for the intake or if it would mess it up with junk or such? I don't have any pictures of it yet, but let me know if you need some to see what I'm talking about.
