Tpm Sensor Question

Hello,

I have a 2008 GMC Yukon Denali and have installed aftermarket wheels & Tires. I have added the appropriate TPM Sensors and have gone through the process to re-learn the sensor locations and everything is working correctly except I need to increase the tire pressure range (DIC shows correct pressures, but because I have pressure set to 45 psi, it warns me to check pressure).

I read somewhere (online forum) that the factory has set a MAX pressure within the computer and that this range is adjustable ony with a GM Scan tool. I took the vehicle to my local dealer who is very good to work with. The problem is that when we hooked up the scan tool to the vehicle, we were not able to locate where the Tire pressure limits were set.

Can someone tell me where this setting is located within the GM Scan tool menu???

Thank you,

Robert Pfeifer

You need to go to the RCDLR setup and setup the tire pressure and type. I have done this several times.

Yep, crazy place for it huh?

THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU

After 2 weeks of having to clear the warning from my DIC, I just came back from my dealer and was able to have the problem corrected once we knew where to make the change.

Thanks again,
