Washed The Truck, Smoked Tail Lights - Pictures

So I got bored over memorial day weekend, and decided to smoke my tails and third brake lights. First, I sanded with 600 grit, and wiped them down with rubbing alcohol. I ended up with about 3 really light coats of VHT Niteshades, and about 10-12 coats of clear (I lost count after 8 ). Then I wet-sanded with 1500 grit, then 2000 grit, then hit them with rubbing compound, a pretty coarse polish, then some turtle wax polish stuff that I found on a shelf in the garage. Definitely a lot of work, but I'm really happy with how they turned out.

 

Third brake light taped and sanded with 600 grit:
