Need A New Hitch, Will A Suburban/tahoe Hitch Work?

My hitch got messed up while in to get fixed, the mechanic backed my truck into a bank and pushed my hitch in but luckily didnt mess up the frame. My buddy has a hitch that is for a 2000-2002 Tahoe/Suburban. Its a GM hitch. Will this work, I wouldnt see why not other then possibly the bolt holes being different because its a SUV or the rear frame being slightly different? I dont have the part number from it, but i just need an idea if I should pass up his deal.

Umm, Mechanic/shop should be replacing your hitch with a "NEW" one

I got PAID for the highest estimate, which was 471.00 and this hitch is 65 dollars so if i can put 400 in my pocket im going to, I just need to know if it will work.
