Nbs Exterior Mirrors

I replaced my mirrors that came with the truck with the camper ones, so I have a set of mirrors that are 2 weeks old for sale. I am going to ask $75.00 plus shipping to wherever. If you do payment through paypal, then that would be okay. I will not ship without payment, obviously. But they are the left and right heated, electric mirrors from a 2008 Sierra 1500.

Good question. Here is a picture of the truck. I am not sure what NNBS stands for. They are off a 2008 SLE Sierra. Anyway, Mike, what time zone are you in? I do not want to call at 7 pm my time and have it be 11:00 pm your time as that is quite late. Yes, I still have the mirrors.

Hey fellow Canuck,

I'm interested in the mirrors, if you still haven't sold them. Just wondering if they power folding & auto dimming?

Cheers Primo.

Are these NBS or NNBS? They are listed as NBS, but your 2008 is NNBS. Just trying to clear up any possible confusion.

We've got some work to do then. :lol:

OBS = Old Body Style = Anything 2007 Classic or earlier

NBS = New Body Style = 2007+ GMT900

NNBS = ridiculous nomenclature

His mirrors are for the GMT900 series vehicles. The OBS, NBS, NNBS thing is a horrible way to designate a vehicle. If we were to follow this convention we should be on like NNNNNNNNNBS by now. It just doesn't make sense to call something a New New Body Style truck. If the GM GMTXXX designation is used, there will be no problems discerning vehicle types.

Primo,

The mirrors you have are much nicer than these. These are the heated, power mirrors only without power fold, auto dim or turn signals. Out of curiosity, what's wrong with yours?

Hey Daddy, maybe we need to make a "sticky" about this? I am getting so tired of explaining this.

I would like to add though, that even though the GMTxxx is still the best way to specify bodystyle, saying OBS or NBS is acceptable ONLY if it is an overlap year. i.e. If you have a 1999 GMT400 it is an OBS, a 1999 GMT800 would be a NBS. Same goes for the 2007 MY trucks. "Classic" is also an acceptable way of describing an OBS in an overlap year.

So, anyone know when the NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNBS trucks are going to be produced? :lol::D:D

I think in late fall of 2347.

And I also try to never use NBS/OBS, it just gets too muddled up.

Sorry, Bob.

I was just trying to clear up the confusion there seemed to be about what model truck these were for. :D

We apparently have come to the conclusion that these are for the NNNNNNNNNBS body style. Hope that helps! :lol:

Ummm, the wife was backing out of the garage and snagged the mirror on the side. It is cracked but I fear when winter come around that it will completely crack due to the mirrors heating up then our extreme cold.

Cheers Primo.
