Hello everyone. Been a while since my last post. I have a friend with a 2005 Tahoe. Loaded. 4.8 engine. 2wd. We have noticed that vents, mainly driver's side blows heat when the a/c gets turned on intermittenly. It will also blow heat with the control off. Is the blend door having issues?

The other day somebody in here was having a similar problem. I think his was something to do with the automatic climate control. Either way, the blend door is really the only place that heat can be added when the AC is on so I'd certainly look into that.

Okay. I will have to check in to that. This is a fully manual control head though. Not the ATC.

I stil say you are on the right track. I don't know if the blend door is vacuum operated or electric on that truck. Let us know what you find out!
