Look What's In My Driveway!

Hell no!! It's just a rental :)

Anyway, last week I parked the Sierra to do some shopping and when I returned some idiot had done a "park by feel" job in the space next to me on the rear drivers side! Of course there was no note and the car was nowhere to be found.

Live sucks sometimes and I am dealing with it. Nearly 1 thousand in damage, 1 week in the shop, a $500 deductible, and a "free" $69 dollar a day POS for this little boo boo.

The POS is quiet, turns well for it's size, seats 8, trip computer claims 15.1 mpg? but it's slow, rides harder than my 4wd Z71, and I am constantly reminded of what it is just by looking at the guages (see picture) :D

I need the seating capacity for company this weekend so thats what they had :ughdance:

I miss my truck already :D

...end my whinny post...

Thats a rip off to fix that. I had my dads 06 Duramax fixed at a dealer for 200 bucks + paint at cost and I did way more damage then that to the same rear fender, I pushed it in with my rear bumper backing out because there was too many cars in the way and the truck was in the blind spot of my mirrors, and I heard a "crunch" my heart stopped but for a total of like 240 it was as good or better then new.

That is one hell of an ugly I/P cluster,I couldn't stand looking at that while driving down the road :ughdance:

+1 Ya gotta be kidding! That instrument panel is as ugly as sin. No wonder Furd sales are going in the tank. Are their interior designers/engineers all out to lunch? :ughdance:

What there is of a DIC washes out in the sunlight too.

The big bright "Expedition" on the cluster cracks me up. What, do they actually think I can't figure out what I am driving? Ford still hasn't gotten over it's "Tonka Truck" look phase that they are in

Here is part of the damage estimate. I agree it's a lot of money for the size of the damage! Preliminary total is $957!

Got rear-ended in the same spot on mine last year by granny. Atleast she didn't run off! No matter what they say about fixing it better than new, it never was as good as it was before!

These are the reasons that we own a Suburban instead of an Expedition EL.

People have been brain-washed into thinking that IRS automatically equals terrific ride & handling. That simply isn't true! Our LTZ Suburban rides a lot better than the new Expeditions we tested. And it doesn't matter how many gears it has, the 5.4L engine just isn't as good as GM's offerings. And it's not like we didn't give Ford a fair trial- we've owned '97 and '04 model Expeditions.

But I can't say that GM has Ford beat on fit & finish. Both our GM vehicles squeek & rattle like a 30 year-old Dodge. :uhoh:

That sucks. At least you got a fullsize though. I got stuck with a Pontiac Vibe when I got rearended.

I actually like the Vibe. :uhoh:

You like the Vibe when being rear-ended? TMI, Beej. T M I. :rollin:

Ed, didn't you have some body damage incidents already with this truck?

Big time! The first one was last September...over 18k worth of damage!

What is it with this truck. It likes danger :uhoh:
