Steering Wheel Radio Controls Stuck?

By accident, I spilled some pop on my volume controls on my steering wheel on my 05 Silverado. They are very sticky now and sometimes stick completly down. Does anybody know if these will just pop out of the steering wheel so I can clean them?

I don't know about them popping out but I'd suggest dribbling a little alcohol behind them to help remove some of the gunk. It'll evaporate quickly and hopefully not cause any problems. Just make sure to do it with the ignition off. If you can come up with some electrical contact cleaner, that would also work.

I have a 2005 Tahoe and some time ago they were offering an autowood steering wheel on here and I bought one to replace the stock wheel. The radio control buttons just popped out of that wheel. There was a small hole in the back where you could push them out. I don't know if the Silverado has the same wheel though.
