Chevy 2007 Z55 Autoride Shock Change.

 Hi all, I'm new to this great forum. I drive a 2007 Chevy Avalanche Ltz. We went avalanching off Road and when I parked my babie back home, I noticed the left front shock was leaking oil... I ordered another on from where I bought my Avi, received it and got my mechanic guy to fix it. He unplugged the autoride sensor wire on top off the shock and went to work. On finishing the job, we started the car and the Service Suspension error code now keeps coming up. Also, the ride is not the same anymore. Its making noises like gnag-gnag as if the autorided system wants to pump some air to dampen the ride. I read somewhere that the SCM and BCM might have to be reset/reprogrammed with new RPO codes.

The shock is fitted fine and plugged. What can I do please??? I'm in West Africa and I do not have any chevy dealer near me.

I'm greatful if anyone can give me some tips.

Thanks
