Upgrading The 8.1

im lookin into upgrading my 8.1 what good gains could be made. in a year or so i wanna put a turbo on mine. keep in mind i have a reg cab 2500hd but anyways i was planning on putting on gibson shorty headers or stainlessworks full length headers it already has true dual 3 inch all the way out with no mufflers. a k&n intake or the king cobra ram air kit, throttlebody spacer, hypertech chip or send my computer out, and a grantelli mass airflow sensor. what gains would i see and what is not worth getting? if anything. or also what ele could i get? thanks i wanna make mods that dont hurt the gas mileage too bad if anything help it

that would be a good start, but get long tube headers for sure, the throttle body spacer would be a good paper weight and i recommend the custom engine tune, if you don`t do any heavy towing slap on some electric fans, i took the gamble with an electric water pump too and so far so good, still pumping. keep your cats in, without them you loose substatinal bottom end tourque and it gets LOUD. ram air could benefit mileage. the mass air flow sensor isn`t really worth it unless you have serious internal modifications or artificial aspiration of sorts.

thats what i was wondering what to go with the vara ram king cobra ram air kit or just the cold air intake from k&n and would my mileage get worse if i went the route of the hot tune for 93 octane? if so how much or would it get better
