2003 Suburban Keyless Entry Issue

ok...being a part of other forums, I've searched, but can't find the right answer

 

 

My key fob has apparently quit. I've tried changing the battery and reprogramming it, but no luck. I only have the one key fob because that's what was given to me when I bought it used.

 

 

Has anyone else ran into this situation?

I mean no insult to your intelligence with this statement (since I've done it myself ), but make sure the battery isn't in upside down.

I have a similar issue with my key fob. As it is getting older, it is wearing out, so the metallicized rubber pads that contact the little pcb board get dirty and don't allow a good connection. Try taking the fob apart and giving it a good cleaning with some rubbing alcohol.
