2007 4x4 Cc Ltz Will 305/55/20 Nitto Tgs Fit?

I am installing a 2" leveling kit next week when it comes in from RC. I am going to buy some more aggressive tires once that level kit is installed. I found a set of barely used Nitto Terra Grapplers 305/55/20 on craigslist. So, naturally I want to know if this tire size will fit before I buy the tires. The tires will be on the factory 20" wheels...

 

Will they fit with the leveling kit installed (I'm pretty sure they will rub without the kit)?

So what's the STANDARD (ENGLISH) size of those tires? I'm way too lazy to look up that translation, but as long as it's under 33x12.5x20 it should be alright, I have 33x11.5r18s on with the 2" RC kit and it fits perfect, no rubbing and about 1/2" of space between the plastics at full steering lock...

Not sure what the specs are on the stock wheels and the stock wheel wells, but you may have to do some trimming. I think the wheels sit in the wells too much.

You're gonna have to do quite a bit of trimming. I was looking at a set of coopers that size and there was no way it would fit. I ended up with the 275/60/20's which are 33" tires and even those rub my splash guards. I believe 305/55/20 is a 35" tire.

Do you have a leveling kit on your truck? I have decided that the 305/55/20 are just too wide. I don't want to take a chance on them. They are 33.07 x 12.60. Just too wide I think. Are those 275/60/20s Nitto TGs?

No, they're Cooper Zeon LTZ's. Yes, I have a leveling kit and rear block. I just posted some pics in a new thread if you want to check them out.

Is your truck 4wd? How tough was it to put in the 2" blocks in the back? Did you have to replace the shocks in the back as well?

It's 4 wheel drive. It's pretty easy to install the blocks. Didn't need new shocks, but needed longer u-bolts.

The 305/50/20's will be too big for just a 2" leveling kit. You'd need a 4" lift.

OK I think I'm running the same wheels and looking at doing the same thing... when I go to the Tire size calculator I see that the tire you mention a 305/55/20 is 33.2 inches in diameter... If your running the stock eagles you've got 275/55/20 tires, those are 31.9...I'm not sure a 2" lift will get you what you want.. I'm leaning really hard at getting This 3" lift from Rough Country. I just need to know if the tires will work, and will the lift work on my CC LTZ....

The width is what's gonna hurt you. I was looking at a set of 305/55 and 275/60 side by side. They were the same height/diameter, but the 305 were ALOT wider. I think you would still have to do some trimming with a 3" lift.

 

You can make them fit with just a leveling kit, just have to hack up your fender wells.

Hey dudes. Just had the 2" Rough Country leveling kit installed this week and new tires put on my OEM wheels. And guess what? 305/55/20 BGF AT KOs fit great and look even better! As 24v said, they rub just a small amount when at full lock (with no trimming on fender wells), but nothing to worry about really. I love the way my truck drives and looks now.

Side note 1: with any other wheel than the OEM (20 x 8.5), these tires probably wouldn't fit just because of the width and backspacing differences.

Side note 2: I have a set of Goodyear Eagle LS2 for sale...275/55/20. Three of the tires have roughly 27k on them, one has roughly 2k on it (had a blowout a month ago--road hazard, not tire defect). PM if you're interested.
