2007 4x4 Cc Ltz Will 305/55/20 Nitto Tgs Fit?

OK I think I'm running the same wheels and looking at doing the same thing... when I go to the Tire size calculator I see that the tire you mention a 305/55/20 is 33.2 inches in diameter... If your running the stock eagles you've got 275/55/20 tires, those are 31.9...I'm not sure a 2" lift will get you what you want.. I'm leaning really hard at getting This 3" lift from Rough Country. I just need to know if the tires will work, and will the lift work on my CC LTZ....

 

 

The width is what's gonna hurt you. I was looking at a set of 305/55 and 275/60 side by side. They were the same height/diameter, but the 305 were ALOT wider. I think you would still have to do some trimming with a 3" lift.

 

You can make them fit with just a leveling kit, just have to hack up your fender wells.

 

 

I run 305/50/20's with a 2" RC kit and have no rubbing at all. I do not run stock rims though.

Hey dudes. Just had the 2" Rough Country leveling kit installed this week and new tires put on my OEM wheels. And guess what? 305/55/20 BGF AT KOs fit great and look even better! As 24v said, they rub just a small amount when at full lock (with no trimming on fender wells), but nothing to worry about really. I love the way my truck drives and looks now.

Side note 1: with any other wheel than the OEM (20 x 8.5), these tires probably wouldn't fit just because of the width and backspacing differences.

Side note 2: I have a set of Goodyear Eagle LS2 for sale...275/55/20. Three of the tires have roughly 27k on them, one has roughly 2k on it (had a blowout a month ago--road hazard, not tire defect). PM if you're interested.

 

I have some after market 20s on my truck that were for the old 98 gmc. And they are rubbing so i have to agree that the slight change in spacing does make it rub worse. Tires are only mich ltx 275/55/ 20. So they should fit fine as they are the same size as the aftermarket 20s. I am thinking of installing a 2 inch leveling kit for the front i'm hoping that does the trick. Be a lot cheaper then new rims.

Tires/truck looks sweet, those are some pretty wide tires, hopefully they don't rub too much. Offset can make or break if a tire will work, I have 305s on aftermarket rims and 285s on my stock rims and they have about the same amount of clearance while turning. Those tires had to hurt the pocket book a little but they do look good.

Got a couple questions for you...

 

1. As for the actual size of the tire, 305-55-20 represents: [height-width-wheel size] right?

 

2. And do you know a comparable tire that would fit on my factory 17'' wheels w/ a 2'' RC level?

Ive been looking at 3 different ones: BFG Mud KM2

255-80-17 = 33.3’’

305-65-17 = 32.8’’

285-70-17 = 33’’

I'm not sure which size would be the best for what I am looking for. I definitely want a wider tire as well, but not one that's going to be rubbing a ton.

 

3. Finally, was there a big difference between the 50 and 55 width measurement, cause as daddy said he has aftermarket wheels and was still able to fit the 305's.

Hey quick question for yall... I was looking at the RC 2in leveling kit for my 2013 silverado 4x4. How do yall like it? Did it affect the ride quality of the truck any? Good looking silverado btw...

I know this is a really old post but I have a 2011 Tahoe LTZ with the 20" oem wheels. I want to put the 305/55/20 BFGoodrich All Terrain T/As on it. I don't want to lift it anymore than I absolutely have to. How much of a lift is needed and what will work best so it doesn't rub? Thanks in advance
