Does anyone have a good recipe for $hit on a Shingle? The Army used to rock when it came to SOS (creamed beef to you youngsters). Now they use ground beef instead of chipped beef which IMHO is not a viable substitute. I'm looking to add to my repetoire of breakfast bliss and I don't mind plagerizing.

When i lived at home, my dad (marine) and i would eat chipped beef with a couple of pieces of toast in the morning, yum!

I am a reasonable cook and an extraordinary eater. SoS is a serious shortfall in my arsenal of epicurean delights. Nothing quite takes the edge off the morning like that creamy concoction.

I used to like the boil in the bag one. Was it Stouffers? or Hormel? Banquet? I seem to recall that there were store brand ones as well.

 

I can't seem to find this current Stouffers product anywhere in Tucson.
