Ipod Interface

I have just purchased a 2008 Silverado and would like to add an Ipod interface and amps.

1. How do I determine my radio type and what Ipod interface should I use?

The audio system is not a bose, has Onstar and is XM ready..

2. Does this system have an amplifer? If yes where is it located?

I plan on adding amplifiers with the stock radio... I plan on connecting the low level output from the radio (if it has an amp) to the amplifiers. If it doesn't have an amp I will use an interface high to low.

3. How do I remove the bezal around the radio and AC controls?

GM has the PAL

19201054 - $159.00

Your completely personalized sound is available at the touch of a radio button with the Personal Audio Link (PAL). Neatly stow your iPod away and control it through your vehicle’s stereo system. Provides full functionality of your iPod, allowing you to select artist, album, genre and playlists, as well as listen to audiobooks and podcasts, using the vehicle’s radio controls. iPod is charged while connected to vehicle, so it’s ready to go when you are

Yes I found two Ipod interfaces from Scosche - I am not sure which is the correct one for the version of radio I have so I emailed the company to find out. I have also asked them about the Blue Fusion adapt, is a bluetooth interface for a cell phone.

I still need to investigate how to remove the dash bezal and pull the radio...
