Low Beam Headlights/daytime Running Lights Not Functioning

Hey Guys

 

Hoping someone can help me with this issue; all of a sudden my headlights low beam/daytime running lights stop working all together only my high beams are in operation. I've switched out my current bulbs with known working bulbs still not functioning; I've also checked all possible lights related fuses and they appear to be fine.

Normally I would say that it sounds like a relay has died. But I think that all functionality is now in the BCM I think.

 

Does it make any difference if your lights are in auto mode versus manually turning them on? Do your fog lights work?

 

Since you're high beams are working, the truck seems to think the lights are on. Has something a like a cat or mouse gotten up into the engine compartment and chewed on the wiring harness? I'd take a meter to the light connectors and wiring to see if you can track down where power is being denied.

I would give the dealer a shot at trying to find and fix the problem since you are shure the bulbs are not a fault then time to let the warranty do its thing. You should get a loaner car, at least my dealer will give me a car if its going to be there overnite. But most of the time I have just left it in the morning and get the truck at closing ( I work at nite so it is easier for me that way).

I agree. Assuming the truck is still in warranty, then the dealer should be doing the diagnostics and repairs. If replacement parts would be needed to repair the lights, would you buy them? That should all be free under warranty.
