2008 Prices

I almost purchased an 08 ext cab z71 right before the red tag sale started but something came up and I had to go out of town. when I saw adds for the red tag sale I thought prices would be better but they were actually quite a bit higher. Prior to red tag I was going to get gms price plus 6500 in rebates. Now they are advertising supplier price and 5500 in rebates. Are they going to lower prices again any time soon. I have did a search of both chevy and gmc within a 100 miles and there are lots of trucks left.

YES, prices will come down as rebates increase. Most likely, the end of this month AND January will be good times to get leftover 08's.

 

Don't forget...there is "old-invoice" discount available on some models...You'll have to check with your local dealer to see if the truck actually qualifies. I believe if it was Invoiced on or before 5-5-08 it qualifies for another $1500 off... Like I said, check with your local dealer. If they play "stupid" and pretend to not know about any rebates, leave immediately and go elsewhere.

 

I'm a Tech at a local GM dealer. I went up to a Manager's office Wednesday, and just for-the-hell-of-it I priced out a remaining NEW 2008 Yukon XL.

 

MSRP $43,000

 

My price as of Wednesday $26,800 out the door.

 

Absolutely unbelievable...almost 40% off MSRP...and I didn't grab it !!!

 

(I'm shooting for half price...yes 50% off...see if I can get it done...)

My guess is that prices will drop again as soon as the RED TAG sale is over.

 

November was a terrible sales month.
