Gauge Issues

I tried searching, but I didn't find much on this. My gauge cluster has been acting up for a while, but it never really bothered me until my gas gauge started doing it too. My oil pressure, temp, and battery gauges stay in the max position when started, while the speedometer will occasionally just drop off. I've found that if I hit the top of the dash, the speedo will typically bounce back up  . Now the fun is starting with my gas gauge. It doesn't do it often, but every now and again it'll read about 1/2 tank less than what it actually has, then it might go up 1/4 of a tank, then back to normal.

Are my gauges just bad or what? I have zero experience with anything gauge related (in case you couldn't tell). Thanks in advance for any help!

Also, if it helps, this is the gauge type I have: http://www.lmctruck.com/ICATALOG/CD/full.aspx?Page=32

I have the same exact problem....

I have no idea what could be causing it... or where to start when trying to fix it....
