Frame Swap Possible Between 89 1500 And 91 2500?

I know I haven't stopped by in a while, but this is the best place to ask. I have an '89 C1500 Regular Cab Long Bed that needs a new frame eventually. Would the frame from a '91 C2500 RCLB have matching bolt patterns and such? Nothing may come of this, but I'd like to know if something similar comes later on. Thanks for anything you have to offer.

Are you talking about swapping JUST the frame (no suspension/steering components or anything), or a rolling chassis?

At this point it's mainly to see if it can be done. I'd prefer to swap just the frame, but if not I'd prefer to keep the 1500's rear end and wheels since I used to be able to squeeze over 20MPG from it, and I'm a little attached to the truck I learned to drive on. (I think the 91 is 6-bolt lug pattern and the 89 is 5-bolt)

I realize it would be a massive amount of work, but I'm patient and don't need the truck soon.

I haven't been under that era truck, but I'm assuming that the 1500s and 2500s had different front suspensions, so retrofitting the front suspension onto the 2500 frame would take some fabrication. I'm sure there's more than that, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.
