Leveling Kit Torque Requirements

Just got my leveling kit in the mail today and will do the install this weekend and was reading over the instructions and read where I will need to torque everything back to factory specs. Anybody got a link to where I can obtain this info? Thanks, and I will post up some pics after the install this weekend.

I believe most of them are "2 grunts and a fart and you're good to go".

It also mentions something about re-adjusting the headlights. Anybody have to do this? :D

 

How much time did it take you guys to install the kit? The box claims 1hr per side. Boy I hope so but nothing ever goes right for me the first time.... :lol:

You probably don't need to. If you start pulling up behind people and they tell you your #1 then you might want to think about it. :lol:

 

I see in your sig where you are running 33's. Do they rub any? What make did you go with? Can you post some pics of your truck?

My leveling kit is a Cognito, Bilsteins, steering stabilizer. 285-70-17 Load E Nitto Terra Grapplers.

The headlights did require adjustment. Takes all of 15 minutes using the instructions in your owners manual.

 

2008 GMC 2500HD Ext, Dura, Standard box. Leer canopy.

Well, got everything installed Saturday. Not really a hard install but another set of hands would have been great. :P I have not taken the truck to get realigned yet but I need to because I have a very slight vibration at certain speeds. Overall I'm very pleased with the new appearance of my truck. Now all I need is some 285's to complete everything. Attached is a picture of the new look. :lol:

Yes, you should definitely be responsible and adjust the headlights down.

      Here's the second UOA on my 22 Wrangler with the Ecodiesel. This has 5k miles on AMSOIL Signature Series DEO 5w-40. The first one was dealer installed oil, no clue what it was, the second is what AMSOIL recommended, European FS 5w-40, Most of the Ecodiesel world is showing great results using the European MS 5w-40, I figured I would see how the DEO works. This is using an Ecoguard oil filter. It's my understanding this engine likes to shed aluminum.  We will see. So far I don't think this is too bad.

      I'm surprised nobody seems to offer a solution like the start/stop device I put in my new truck. Remembers my setting when shutdown. And while it still starts up in start/stop, it stores/evaluates what mode it was in when shut down and will change it whithin a second or 2 of startup. It'd be nice to have something like that for the DRLs.

      2015 Sierra 1500 here. Leaks from the sunroof to front driver side and soaks carpet. How do I fix this? Thanks!

      I will be doing that for sure, but I need to solve who has/ where I can find a bidirectional scan tool that will support OBD 1.5. I'm kicking myself because I ebay'ed a Snap On MT2500 that I didn't think I'd ever need anymore. D'oh!! I'd rather not buy another, so I'll contact a few local shops to see if they have one and how much they'd want to do the procedure. I'd rather have the ability to do it myself... I wish there was a modern tool that could do it all, but I'd have no idea what to buy.   The theory with the pulled timing is that it mimics a rich condition. The delayed spark causes incomplete burn and the O2 sensor picks up low oxygen levels. That's interpreted as a rich condition so the PCM pulls fuel and that shows up in the deeply negative fuel trims.
