alright im getting a body lift for my truck..

2" Performance accessory's kit.. i am getting front and rear bumper brackets so it doesn't look half ass as well as gap guards.. i will be ordering everything at once as well so it will be a clean install...

anyways.. i dont think i should have too much trouble getting the bolts out.. but if i do what is gonna have to happen? will i have to bring it into a shop and have them weld in new body mounts on the cab / box so i can put the bolts in? i put a body lift on my 90 and some of the bolts came out hard but i got it done..as a matter of fact i put one on a 92 as well..

oh and im only doing a 2" since i will have the stock tires for a little while.. and i am just going to get 285's (i have 265/75/16's right now) next time and it will look pretty nice i think... i know a couple people that put 3" body lifts on there truck and ran stock wheels for a while.. i am getting everything for about $200 brand new..

Should look good. I'd just soak the shit out of all the bolts with PB blaster or something similar starting about a week before you plan to install. You have air tools, right?

many air tools...

i think a 2" body lift is alright.. i am going to be getting 16x8's so later if i plan to go higher i have that wide rim so i can add a big beefy tire..

i think 3" is just too much.. i think a 2" would be safer as well and would have less flex and roll of the body as well..

Whats your plans for the back bumper with the body lift... I have seen a lot of them around and thats why I have steered clear of them for my black truck...

Everytime I see a truck like mine with the body lift I see it with a 2-3" gap either between the top of the bumper and below the tailgate or the bottom of the bumper and a 2-3" gap from the receiver...

Performance accessories makes bumper lift brackets (front and rear, fronts come with the kit. rears are extra $$) people must be too cheap to buy them.. like they are in my city.. like i said i wanted a CLEAN install so i am going to buy it all..

and my hitch is about 2" tall and is hidden by the bumper right now so the hitch will be right below the bumper and will not look out of place at all.. btw you should post some more pics of the black truck
