Service Engine Soon Light Dtc=p0171 And P0174

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado Z71 with a 5.3L V8. My service engine soon light is on and my programmer reads the trouble code as P0171 and P0174 which translates as Fuel Trim System Lean (Bank 1) and Fuel Trim too Lean (Bank 2), I have changed the fuel filter and tried fuel system cleaner, I am able to clear the codes, the light goes off for awhile, but it will come back on. I have not noticed much of a difference until today when the temperature is 3 degrees F, the truck is running a little rough at an idle or at a stop light.

 

Has anyone else had this problem? What could be the problem, anyone know or give me a place to start looking?

You may need to have your intake system purged/cleaned. City driving on streets with cheap gas caused carbon buildup which was obsorbing the fuel making it lean on my truck. I just did a BG Injector/Throttle body Service, including 3 Part Kit using BG tool. I had this done because of the valves clattering and difficult starts. No more issues now. Now I'm able to climb hills without having to downshift and it's more responsive.
