08 Gmc Hd2500

Hi folks: Bought an 08 2500 SLE in September. From Day 1, it has had shakes and vibrations. They finally got the tires straightened out by rebalancing all and replacing one.

It has a very noticeable driveline vibration from 60-62, right where you drive it (locally). The dealer has been working on it for 3 months. It feels just like a bad u-joint. It has that droning sound and you can feel in the seat and floor. They have checked the t/case and axle angles, replaced a rear hub that was out of spec, and most recently, replaced the driveshaft. They have also involved technical assistance to no avail. I'm at the end of my rope with the POS and I'm ready for arbitration. I did however, agree to give them one more chance as GM is sending a field engineer out to look at in a couple weeks.

Anyone heard anything like this on other trucks? All my friends HD's don't do it, so it must be my truck specific.

Thanks!

It is obviously something out of balance or a bearing somewhere out of spec. I think after 3 months I would have started asking that they replace the truck under the lemon law.

Believe me... this IS the final straw. I figured I'd let the field engineer take a look, and try ONE thing, then... if that doesn't fix it, its just more ammunition for me when I go to arbitration for a replacement truck.

Or.. if I get even more PO'd before then, I'll start the process early! Merry Christmas to me.. NOT.

By the way how are things in New York? We lived in Catskill for a few years before coming to Texas. Son lived in Rochester. Got tired of the cold and the Snow. Even though here tonight it is only 45 out.

Weather is so up and down the last couple years. We've had 14" of snow this week, then it rains yesterday, cold today, up to 50 tomorrow. WEIRD. Looks like Texas has had some crazy weather too!
