4x4 Squeak

Hi all, great resource here.

 

I have an 08 sierra z71. The 4x4 hi made no noise the first couple times I used it this year but the last week every time I engage it into 4hi(electronic transfer case) it makes this little faint squeak the first couple seconds and then randomly little squeaks here and there. Completely goes away when in 2 hi.

 

any ideas?

grease the driveline as this is usually an indicator a dry CV or U Joint in older trucks - have not been under mine to see what is greasable and what is not.

while we're on the topic... does anybody know how many grease nipples can be found on an 02?

 

I took a look, but could only find 2 on the front axle.
