Engine Knock At Warm Idle

I have an '86 blazer with the 305 cid, rochester quadrajet. If the truck is warm and then shut down upon restart the truck has an intermittent knock at idle. Any slight increase in idle and it goes away. Any ideas??

if it goes away right away i`d say a lifter is leaking down... especially if it is intermittant.

I would have to agree on the lifter bleed out. At your next oil change, put a can of BG MOA in. I use that in all fresh motor builds and it's like honey...
