www.galls.com sells them too and might be cheaper. You will have to call them direct regarding the mounting kit price.

The pillar mount requires trimming out a notch in the door, which is very difficult. The police package Tahoe comes from the factory that way when ordered with spotlights.

Go with the door mount much easier to install.

As a person that uses/used those kind of spotlights for work; I would recommend that you avoid that type of light.

After time the posts will eventually leak and the wires will break inside the fixture and then you must repair/usually replace the light and the light will become lose and not hold its position.

I would recommend to use one of the many various hand held spots. Easier to install / repair .

Unless you need to have the light in position for an extended period of time my opinion would be to go another route.

I would also let your fingers do the walking; most larger cities usually have some sort of fire/ems/police supply type shop and they may have them in stock and may even have the ability to install what you buy.

I found some @ magnalights.com. BlkMax may have a valid point about aging and leaking with mntd spots. I have never seen "old" one work right and here in W Wa the rain always causes rusting around the drv floor from leaking light, windshields etc. Why is it others always make more sense when I want to do something I think is cool?

I thought about putting one on my old truck. It would be nice for shining deer during the winter time rather than holding you hand out the window with a spotlight.

Our spots tend to end up with the handles stripped around this time of the year due to the cold, though if you're in AZ as it appears, that might not quite be an issue.

Speaking from experience, hand held spot lights are useless when the truck is in motion. You have to hold the light out of the window to use it. If used inside the vehicle, the light reflects off of the glass and lights up the inside of the truck. You can't see much on the outside.
