Some Pos Scratched My Truck

Some asshat scratched my truck in the Lowe's parking lot this evening... I don't know if they pushed a basket against it or what. The scratch is not down to the metal, but it is definitely noticeable on my dark gray truck.

 

Do you think compound will work? I have a baby now, so money is kind of an issue... can't afford to get it repainted right now.

Nevermind. I was able to inspect the truck more thoroughly this morning. There is a lot more damage than I thought. It's going to have to go to a body shop.

You could always throw some touch up paint on it in the meantime, till the income comes back around.

That's what I hate about a new vehicle... all the worry and frustration over keeping it nice. I am the same way about my new 08. On the other hand, my 99 has scratches down the sides from driving between brush on 2 track roads and I just don't worry a thing about it. Much more relaxing in some ways.

 

That POS that scratched your truck should get his head dinged.

In the daylight, I inspected the truck. The scratches are down the suicide door and the bed near the gas cap on the driver's side. But, the rocker panel under the suicide door is mashed in, and there is a nasty dent on the bottom of the bed closest to the cab.

 

I am so freaking pissed. I'll have to post pictures to see if ya'll think I can compoud out the scratches. The dent in the bed can be knocked out by me and a buddy of mine. But, the rocker panel looks like rumpled tin foil. I have really grown to hate people....

 

 

 

Oh, and I make out fine.. just ask all the ladies.
