I have a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 4.8L v8 AT.

I had a Service Engine Soon light on with my truck and had the codes pulled. There were 2 codes stored, one being a P0410 and the other being a P1410. What part generally will cause the code to be generated? I think it might be the Air Injection motor (is this the part in the pass side by the firewall?).

Thanks

Do you have the descriptions for each code? Does it say either bank 1 or bank 2? I ask because the only problems I've ever had on my truck(see sig) pertaining to the air injection system were both check valves getting stuck closed. The right side valve went out at about 95k miles and the other quit at around 130k. Good luck!

When you say the check valve, did you replace the metal valve that is threaded onto the air injection tube?

Sure did! Both of em. Oddly enough, when the first one went out it only cost me $10 to replace. Two years later, when the 2nd one went, the valve cost $35. Must've had some pretty high demand. :uhoh:
