To start with I have a white 08 LT. So the bumper cap is chrome as well. Which do yall think would look better. A white bowtie to match the truck or a billet? Also does anyone have a good write up on how to paint your bowtie?

Another option you might consider is to use a quality coloured self adhesive film instead of paint to cover your "Bowtie". Go to a good auto trim shop and have a look at some of the possibilities. I had a white 1995 Pontiac Grand-Am SE and I didn't like the chrome plated plastic trim on it so I had my local auto trim shop custom cut some strips to cover them up when the car was new. I would have used coloured trim tape that comes in rolls but the pieces I wanted to cover were a nonstandard width. The advantage of the self adhesive coloured film is that it doesn't chip like paint and it can be easily removed if you change your mind later on. As for it's durability? I saw that car again last year and the coverup strips looked as fresh as the day they were put on. If properly installed, they should last about as long as the vehicle they are applied to. I hope this information helps.
