Ticking Sound Passenger Side

Hello all, I have a 2007 Nnbs SLE1 4x4 Sierra and I recently noticed a ticking sounds coming from the passenger side. The ticking is coming from the outside of the vehicle and seems to occur between 55-65mph. Initially I thought it was a rock in the tire but when I slow down below 55 the sounds begins to dissipate and at slow speeds below 10mph no abnormal sounds. But I double checked the tires for anything that could make the sound and nothing appeared. I also check around the tire area for any type of debris that might cause it and looked for anything loose and everything appears to be nice a snug. Any suggestions on what might cause this ticking sound?

You didn't add a bug shield recently did you?

 

I have a ticking, almost more of a rattling sound that comes from my passenger's side somewhere along the windshield edge. It only occurs at 65-70+ MPH and gets worse with higher speeds and is caused by my bug shield, I know, because it doesn't happen when the shield's not on. I believe there's a Tech Wiki on here to fix it if a bug shield is causing the problem.

 

If you don't have a bug shield is there anything else that you added recently?

No bug shield. The truck is all stock with no mods to it.

Hmmm. I can remember back a few ago when I test drove a GMT-900 and it had a hell of a rattle up around the passenger's side dash area. I don't know what it was but I'm guessing a loose screw or something in the dash. Can you pinpoint the sound at all? I know it's tough especially on the passenger's side let alone when you have to go 55+ to get it. Has it been like this since you got the truck?

Don't know what your sound is, but there's a TSB for more of a "buzzing/rattle" sound that occurs from 45 to 50 mph caused by a battery cable touching the oil dip stick. Easy fix... but only if that's the problem. For reference, it sounds like a rattle in the passenger dash, but it's not.

I noticed it about a week ago when I was driving home from work and drove pass a vehicle to my right. When I heard the ticking sound, I initially thought it was the ford truck next to me, but then I passed a car and heard the same sound. After passing those two vehicles, I noticed the sound again next to a barrier wall. When I have all the windows rolled up, I can barely hear it. When I roll the front passenger window down, it's noticeable. When I roll up the front window and roll down the back window, the sound appears to be louder. For some reason I keep thinking it's something in the tire(s) because it sounds like it but when I slow down it goes away. Is it possible to be something in the drive shaft where the rear end and drive shaft connect? (I'm reaching on this suggestion).

Exhaust leak is more of an air escaping sound. This is an tick/tapping sound. It doesn't sounds like anything grinding or anything rubbing like a bushing, it just sounds like a tick/tapping sound. I know it's hard to explain when it could be numerous of things.
