Abs Bleeding

Recommended Posts

I have a 99 chev 2500 HD. I am certain that there is air in the abs module underneath the truck. Is there anyway that I can bleed it without taking it to the shop or buying scan tool? Any advice helps.

Have you tried to just normally bleed the system? I am aware that you need the tech II to cycle the module. But if you haven't, just a bleed might work.

Yeah I have bled all the brakes. I actually had to replace the front brakes cause they were the only ones that were working. As it stands the back brakes only engage for a split second when i first apply the brakes, and there is also a little hard spot in the pedal travel right at the beginning when the back brakes engage. But then instantly the pedal goes almost to the floor and only the front brakes work. But yes, i have bled all the brakes. The guy who owned it before me had changed the master cylinder and must have gotten ait in the system from that end.
