Remote Starter Bypass

I have a 2008 GMT900 GMC Sierra W/T Single cab, Auto 4.3L. I want to put a aftermarket remote starter in. Do I need the bypass kit to do this? I do NOT have power door locks or windows. Can I make a Relay pack to do the remote start? Any info will help thanks.

If you don't get your answer here, you might try the following website: www.the12volt.com . If your key is equiped with the transponder chip, you will need a bypass module, There are several modules available, and they are not very expenisive. I used the 1701G for my alarm, but that module is designed to do everything for the alarm. You can probably get a simple bypass mod.
