5-ch Amp And Dnx 5120

I was wondering how you would run the RCAs from the DNX5120 to a 5-ch amp. The back of the HU only has 2 preouts (one for the fronts, one for sub/rear). I plan on supplying power to front and rear aftermarket spkrs and a sub. The great question is how do u fit 3 RCA cables, into a spot for 2?

I'm a little thick so please bear with me. With a line driver, you just connect a pair of RCAs from the HU to the line driver and then use 3 other RCAs from the line driver to the amp? is it that simple? thanks for info

No, you split before the line driver, and then adjust for signal lose. It is the right and best way to do it, if you want to spend the money, however you can just split the signal with a set of rca splitters(you will need either way) and you will have a slight lose of signal(power to the amp from the rca cable), I guess it depends on you, and the quality of the sound you want and equipment you have. I have never used a line driver, I could always tell when I got into my friends car who used one, his sound was always better, a little cleaner and a little louder..

So that being said you can just split it and leave it, or add the line driver to it if you have the funds and want that sound clarity...

Could I just use 2 RCAs (1 for the front speakers/1 for the sub) and then run a 3-ch amp instead of a 5 ch. And use the HU power to power the rear spkrs?

I was going to say that a lot of 5-channel amps only need two sets (or possibly just one set) of preouts to work. It can just use the signal from your rear outputs for the sub.

That's what I would do, I'm using a Kicker 4-chnl to power my comps and sub. Actually I would just leave the rear speakers completely disconnected, it will sound so much better that way.
