Sometimes when I turn off my Jimmy, the key doesn't go all the way to the off position, so I have to use the key release button. Some people say, it's the ignition that needs to be changed, some say, the key is worn (doesn't look worn). It's no problem pressing the key release button, but I would like to have it work properly. Can u help?

I have the same exact problem in my 97 blazer. Only the key release lever isnt there anymore. Every time I go to take the key out, I have to stick a long object like a pen into the column to press a button inside the column to release the key. Somebody tell us how to fix this, cuz it sure is a real pain in the azz.
