Yet Another Transfer Case Topic!

My father and I replaced the u-joints in the truck about 2 weeks ago. Its a '00 silvy, 5.3, 4x4, aluminum 1 piece driveshaft. Since I had the drive shaft out my father suggested changing the transfer case rear seal. My transfer case leaks horribly and Im amazed it still works. Theres fluid everywhere under the truck but Im not sure exactly where its coming out. Its a 246 t-case that im sure is original. Anyways, I dont have the $$$ to spend on putting in a new t-case. But back to the rear seal... It went on really easy almost like it was too small. After getting everything back together and going for a drive, the clunk I felt was gone. I was happy untill it stated coming back.

 

Today I was going to fill the u-joints with grease only to find out we put the side with the grease zerks on the wrong side so im going to have to drop the shaft to grease them. Not a huge deal, but still a pain. I was looking around while I was underneath the truck and noticed that the seal wasnt even in the hole! I can push and pull it with my fingers. Now for my questions...

 

1. Are there different seals with different sizes?

2. Can I just apply a sealent to seal it in there?

3. Should i grease the yoke that goes into the t-case, cuz it looks awfuly dry? If so with what and put it where?

4. What type of grease should I use in the u-joints?

5. Anyone got a new t-case for cheap and live near sac?? lol
