Quick Question, bank 2 Is The Right (pass) Side Bank On A 97 454 Right?

Well, I have never heard of bank 1 and 2, but the right bank (pass side) is about half a cylinders width back from the drivers side, so calling it bank 2 would make sense to me. Drivers side is 1,3,5,7 front to back, pass side 2,4,6,8. Hope I answered your question!

I know stupid question but I just want to be sure. Thanks

Not sure on your truck but on all vehicles I've owned, Bank 2 is the drivers side for all OBD2 stuff.

Bank 1 is the side with cylinder #1 in it. Bank 2 is the side with cylinder #2 in it.

your going to have to see on your truck i know on the 5.7 the pipe comes off the left manifold (bank 1)and gose to the right Catalytic Converter and vise versa for bank 2, I'm just not sure on the 454 but i think it's the same.

Bank 1 is on driver side and bank 2 is passenger side, on the vortec 454s they don`t cross over like they did on the earlier trucks. Which sensor did it indicate? sensor one or two, it should read a codes bank1 sensor2 or bank 2 sensor1, etc etc. indicating if its the pre-cat sensor or post cat sensor on the left or right side....
