2000 Envoy Rear Rotor Size

Hi

 

Trying to change the rear rotors on a 2000 Envoy (Jimmy sytle) and the parts guy is asking if I have a 3-3/4 ring gear or 7-5/8. How do I figure out what I have? It says "Ring gear diameter is located on a tag attached to the differential carrier". Would that be stamped on the outside somewhere and if so, can someone point me in the right direction.

I think the parts guy is confused. I have access to GM oe parts fiche. There are 2 rear brake rotors for your truck one is for 2wd and the other one is for 4wd. I even called the local Napa & Advance stores and they asked me 2wd or 4wd.
