Hey guys I need some opinions...

I'm getting the bottom half of my truck painted in a couple weeks or so to catch some paint chips on the rockers and where my mudflaps used to be. So while its in the shop, im going to have him paint my GMC logo black. My tail lights are black, and i have a black third brake light, and i plan on some clear headlights and bumper lights with black housings as well.

So, i was trying to figure out how it would look if i had the painter paint the chrome grill that surrounds the radiator black, and leave the chrome that surrounds the lights alone... i thought this might look pretty cool and unique, especialy with the gmc blacked out and maybe this mesh insert.

im also removing the step bars before i bring it in, and probavbly leaving them off... so all the lights have black housings, debadged, black gmc logo, black mesh insert, and black grill surrounding the insert, but not the lights....

any ideas, comments welcome. just dont be rude... haha. thanks guys.

I'd leave the grill surround alone entirely and paint the bumper cap instead. Also, the mirrors, or just the caps, and the door handles painted to match would look great too!

yes but not for a little while. not decided on anything yet, but id love some 20 inch silverado ss rims. lmc has them without a chevy center cap.

I'd stick with the chrome, do a mesh insert, and maybe paint that upper bumper pad body color. Painting stuff black on the front end makes trucks look like a work truck to me... since you asked!

This is the look right here, in your color, of course. :D

This billet grill is made by Stull industries. I had a friend with one, top quality.

I realize your front end is a bit different but this will give you an idea of what painting everything the same color but leaving the chrome can do for the look.
